The Kind of Man I Am A couple of my have trouble getting into and out of my van, so I asked for a stepstool from my supervisors, who told me it might be two weeks before I got one IF The Powers That Be approved it at all, so I went onto Amazon, found a folding one that would support 300+ pounds and ordered it. In two days it was here. This morning, although I'd already called in sick, I got dressed, picked up the stool, and brought it to my van so that those two would have access to it ASAP. That's me all over.

My husband and I know the struggles of getting in and out of vehicles, first with his broken leg and later with a broken arm. I weigh 278. My clients are less than half that, but they have some mobility problems, and it's hard for them to step up very high. Since there's a good chance I might also need to use that stepstool, I bought one that could potentially hold me. I was a Boy Scout; 'Be Prepared'!

I went through the same thing when I had to transport clients. I had a van with a wheelchair bound client. There was a point when I had to ask for help from the staff at Wal-Mart to get her back into my van. Abracadabra
