Interesting. I read something a while ago about milkmen making a comeback but I suppose that is as a luxury, not a routine as it used to be. I thought for sure elevator operator. Haven't seen one since I was a kid.

Still have a milkman who comes every day and collects for the week's milk on a Thursday- expensive way to buy milk but it keeps someone in a job and makes sure we never run out.

Hi Ane: Interesting list, especially the last one. lol I remember a few more people coming to our house when I was young. The iceman delivering blocks of ice, the sheeney with his horse drawn cart collecting rags and scraps of metal, and the scissor and knife sharpener man ringing his bell.
