 I almost picked haircut. I had the same experience as you, only before the prom ('62? '63?), not the wedding. I don't remember crying, but I was pretty upset, and yes, that was my last perm.

 Well... go figure.. Just another bad hair day to shed a few tears!
I said hold a new baby, I must be neo-natally challenged!
I guess women get awful snippy when they go to a clip joint!
We have now helped identified the difference between men and women...
Women cry over bad hair and men cry over bad beer.

Well my return has produced no better results.
I'm still 0'fer the year!

 I missed it but now that you mention it I remember one of my older daughter's most traumatic moments was having her hair for prom turn out to be a complete disaster.

 Hi Ann: Got this one right. The exact same thing happened to me with my first perm. I had long hair and told the hairdresser I wanted loose curls and even gave her a picture. I told her my hair curled very fast, but she put in about 100 tiny rollers and never checked the progress. I walked out of there with a horrible short Afro and had to go back to work like that. It was devastating.
