My vet sent me this alert and am forwarding to you as a precautionary measure. *****************
Procter & Gamble (P&G), makers of Iams and Eukanuba has greatly expanded their original recall that was announced just five days ago. These products are being recalled as a precautionary measure because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No Salmonella-related illnesses have been reported. The expanded recall includes all dry sizes and varieties of the following cat and dog food products with best by dates of 01-Jul-10 - 01-Dec-11, all UPC codes.
Iams Veterinary Dry Formulas
Eukanuba Naturally Wild
Eukanuba Pure
Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive Skin The affected products are sold in veterinary clinics and specialty pet retailers throughout the United States and Canada. No canned food, biscuits, treats or supplements are affected by this announcement

Did you read where the makers of some dog food put as part of the filler carcusses of dead animals. I'm talking about dead dogs and cats even. Ewwwwwwww

Rainbow....thanks for responding. Hopefully you all didn't get the contaminated food. This site censored my blog and removed a thinly disguised website to double check. But if you go to Ims and check for recall it will give you more information.

I dont worry about these things. I dont have a dog. But I usually dog sitting and my niece gives me all the pet food and all necesities that are required for the dog-sitting days. But I would let her know about the warnings.
