Waltzing to Mexico......With PresBo May 20, 2010 11:48 am

.......I did not vote for President Obama. He had no experience, has a questionable past, he associated himself with radicals, his votes have killed babies and he believes in socialism. Somehow the American people overlooked all that and elected him anyway...... Any President who allows a foreign leader to come to our shores and tell us how we must run our country just boggles my mind. For the Democrats to give this foreign leader a standing ovation is even worse. I have no doubt that all those people who said President Bush was the worst president in history has to now change their mind. What does it take for this President to stand up for America. I am sick and tired of his condescending speech and mannerism denigrating my Country. Is he so caught up in his own image and arrogance that he feels it necessary to smile, grin, apologize, beg, pat on the back, grovel and snivel before every petty despot, dictator and regime leader. To me this President has just nudged Jimmy Carter out of first place as the worst president in my lifetime........OK my Liberal friends here in the United States please give me your reasons why you think his actions and behavior is acceptable. I do have an Idea for him to regain his popularity. That he appear on next seasons Dancing with the Stars and has an exceptional partner.....

Fair Balanced all the time.........Fox News May 19, 2010 8:14 pm

`......I am sure everyone now agrees that Fox News channel with its line up of Glen Beck, Bret Bauer, Shepard Smith, Bill O'Rielly. Sean Hannity and Greta VanSustren during the evening hours blows away the competition in the ratings. MSNBC, CNN, HLN, and any other news network does not come close. Liberals explain their popularity as not being news but by being entertainment. When that doesn't sell they come up with any lame excuse to deny what everyone else knows is that Fox is really fair and balanced.......OK 60min so what?......Here's so what. If their nightime lineup is so good what about their daytime shows? Surely the other networks must have shows that compete with Fox during the daylight hours when the largest demographic is women......Below is a current ratings chart........Liberals read and weep......

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea..........Barack Obama May 18, 2010 7:23 am
740 Views
.....Does anyone recall the Broadway Musical that was also a Movie called the "Damn Yankees"? Adapted from the opera "Faust" an average Joe meets up with the Devil disguised as a successful business associate. In a true Faustian plot the Devil grants Joe extra powers if he sells his soul. Applying this in today's political climate could this be what has propelled an relatively unknown, inexperienced person who was able to defeat all comers to become President? In a recent article by Bob Maistros, he covers the dialog when the Devil comes to collect his end of the deal.......

...."Barack"

What? who are you?

...." You know who I am. I have come to complete our little, shall we say, arrangement?”

You are too early and I’ve been president less than a year and a half. Don’t I get my two complete terms? Where’s that contract? I have achieved so much.

....."YOU’VE achieved so much? The whole world has been wondering how a relatively unaccomplished student becomes editor of the Harvard Law Review. How a nerdy, self-centered bore and underpaid community organizer lands a hot babe like Michelle. How an attorney with little discernible writing talent pens two best-sellers and becomes fabulously wealthy. How the electoral waters part and not one but two qualified and popular Senate opponents fall to scandal, allowing an unknown to rise from obscurity and become a Senator.”

Ar er ha well I...

......“How a newcomer with no background of accomplishment and the Senate’s most liberal voting record, a collection of radical fringe supporters that would frighten the horses, not to mention the children, and a litany of past outrageous statements and positions overcomes America’s greatest political machine on the basis of one of the lamest slogans in memory, and achieves global, rock-star level adulation.”

but um er ah....

.....“How he draws the oldest and least charismatic general-election opponent of all time with a vice presidential nominee who becomes late-night comedy fodder, and how he benefits from the sudden collapse of the global financial system. How he gets away with the wild inconsistency of running against his primary opponent from the left and his general-election opponent from the right, the hypocrisy of breaking his pledge to accept federal election funds and spending limits, and the audacity, if I may coin a phrase, of campaigning on one of the most far-left platforms ever proposed while posing as a moderate … and wins a historic election as the first African-American president.”

Yes I did it and I could do so much more and...

.....“You did nothing! I did it all. And now I’m here to collect on your end of our bargain. I’ve gotten everything I wanted from you. Global economic chaos as the U.S. plunges into unsustainable debt. A soon-to-be government-run healthcare system poking its way into every aspect of Americans’ lives, and the commanding heights of the economy ‒ the auto and banking industries ‒ under Uncle Sam’s thumb, creating the potential for all kinds of immoral and unconstitutional mischief. A weakened US military and foreign policy, with moral equivalency displacing principled leadership, clearing the way for evil adventurism around the globe. Federal funding extended to stem cell research and abortion, and pro-gay policy generally ensconced at the heart of American polity. Soon, two relatively youthful Supreme Court justices who can be counted on to erode the nation’s culture further for generations to come … including, ultimately, the nationalization of same-sex marriage,"

OK, but there is still so much left to do. Financial reform, repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, cap and trade, another liberal Supreme Court justice or two, implementation of a VAT system.

.....“None of which YOU can achieve in the current political environment. Because despite my best efforts, you’ve also divided America, revived the Republican Party, inspired an entire new protest movement that is knocking off incumbents from both sides, and even done something I didn’t think was possible: given credibility to Sarah Palin. You’ve exposed your meager political skills and even worn out your welcome with the liberal media. The rest of your political agenda is, to put it delicately, dead in the water.”

But, but what about the er ah um November elections?

.....“Here’s the brilliance of my plan. Democrats are on the way to historic defeat. Yet consider the sympathy vote when a young, charismatic president meets an untimely end … which I can easily arrange through, say, a little basketball accident … returning your Party to power, at which point Congress and your successor enact the rest of your program as your ‘legacy.’ While conspiracy theories spin for decades.”

My successor? but If I go the Presidency passes to um er ah.....Oh no not that!....

....."I am diabolical, wouldn’t you agree?”

"To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with Indian tribes." .....

........So says Article I section 8 para 3 of he United States Constitution. 14 simple words plus one word that is not so simple. Commerce; it can be defined as the buying and selling of goods between 2 or more persons, municipalities and countries. The Liberal mindset has expanded on that definition to include "social" commerce. In other words if a society uses commerce to discriminate against a segment of that society then Congress can regulate the commerce to strike it down. This was done when enacting the civil rights bill which disallowed businesses to discriminate against its customers based on race, gender and ethnic origin. The civil rights bill was worthy legislation enacted by a Democrat President who had overwhelming Republican support.......OK 60minman what's your beef now?........Well with Obamacare now signed into law the commerce clause is cited for justification to mandate and force those without Health insurance to purchase it. Just like the civil rights bill forced businesses to serve their customers no matter their race, ethnicity or gender. Liberals have now expanded the meaning of commerce to a new level. It now means according to Democrats, that its ok to force you to purchase something even if you do not want it, because it benefits commerce. This no doubt is headed for a Conditional challenge to the Supreme Court. Another 5-4 decision will be forthcoming one way or another. The implications to this are enormous if that part of Obamacare is upheld. Now Congress will have the power to force you to purchase "healthy foods, vitamins, or anything else they deem will benefit "Social" commerce. Congress will be able to control almost every aspect of your life forcing you to do what you don't want to do..........
.......America does need Health care reform but it doesn't need a 2074 page bill crafted behind closed doors, with zero bi-partisan support, passed with questionable tactics, which nobody read, and was crammed down out throats that takes away our freedoms and our liberty........It is my hope this bill will be repealed and start the process over. This time engage the American people in open debate and discussion instead of with special interests in secret..........God bless the "people" of the United States.

......Once there was a tract of woodlands that was bordered on 3 sides by natural barriers. One side had a raging river another had high cliffs, and the last had a towering Mountain. The only way the lumber company could access the woodlands was through a farmers pasture. The farmer gave his permission but with the stipulation that each time a truck came through they had to make sure the pasture gate was closed because he kept his Prize Bull there........ One day the farmer came out and saw that the gate had been left open and his prize bull was gone. The farmer went to the lumber company and told them they must pay for a new bull and it cost $20,000. The lumber Company said that was way too much and offered him $10,000. No way said the farmer so both parties decided that a court case was the best way to settle the matter. Each litigant had 2 weeks to prepare their cases. On the morning of the Court date the Lumber company lawyer approached the farmer and said you have no chance of winning and if you go to court you will get nothing. We will offer you $5,000 only half of our previous offer if you drop your suit right now. The farmer scratched his head and thought for a moment then accepted their offer. After the papers were signed and the farmer had his money the Lumber Company lawyer said "You dumb old hick, I sure fooled you, our driver was drunk and his helper was asleep. If we had gone to court you would have won. Mmmmm said the farmer I don't think I would have won because when I got up this morning I looked out at the pasture and that prize Bull of mine came home............

A Day at the Auction........ May 15, 2010 5:43 am

.......Went to my first Classic/Antique Automobile Auction yesterday. Not as a bidder but just to observe. It was held at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh NC. Arriving just before 9 AM I spent the first Hour looking at over 300 cars on display. It was like stepping back in time. All cars were of high quality restorations or original condition. I did not see any "Ho Hums" or "Toads". On a scale of 1-10 perhaps the worst I saw were a few 8's......Some were within my price range. A 68 Austin Healy, 77 Oldsmobile Toronado, 73 Pontiac Grand Prix, 68 Chrysler Newport, 74 Volkswagon Bug, 65 Plymouth Fury, 34 Pontiac, 57 Ford Fairlane, 67 Volkswagon Karman Gia to name a few. All of those went for under $12,000........
........Many were definately beyond my price range like the 56 Chevy convertible $38,000. 32 Plymouth Roadster with rumble seat went for $33,500. 56 Ford T-Bird $34,000 and the highest was a Jaguar series I roadster went for $80,000.....
........When it started to be around 3PM I decided to leave. The days Auction would run until 7PM. The remaining 150 or so cars will be put up on the block Today. I will not be there. It was a tiring event not because it was physically exhausting but because of the nostalgic trips your mind takes when seeing so many cars of high quality and of an era gone by.....

When is a Lie not a Lie............ May 13, 2010 8:09 pm

.......Not too long ago in a blog here in SFF we were told by the blogger that under President Obama Taxes have gone down for the average American. That is true but lets look into what that really means. In 2009 approximately 50% of workers either paid no income taxes or received a rebate from the government. Just 2 years ago that number was 37% of workers who had no income tax liability. Now think about this and if possible (probably difficult for those who went to public schools) let it sink in....... When more and more of the income taxes are paid by a smaller and smaller number of Americans you create a situation where the "average" American pays less. Get it? When you remove more and more Americans from the tax rolls, and when more and more Americans get money "FROM" the government instead of paying taxes "TO" the government you get a lower tax bill for the "average" American. I know I know....its hard to understand. That's why Obama, Pelosi, Ried, and all the other liberals can get away with asinine statements that income taxes for the "average" American have gone down under the Obama administration. Income taxes for the poor souls who have to pay them (myself included) have not gone down........Smoke and mirrors anyone?

Nee Orleans v Nashville.........whats the difference? May 13, 2010 9:14 am

.......Does anyone remember Katrina? You know the hurricane that devastated the gulf coast especially New Orleans? Of course you do, what with all the Media coverage and pundits blaming President Bush for not acting in a timely manner. They even had a telethon that was carried live on NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, and more than 25 other smaller networks like MTV, VH1 and CMT. During one Katrina fundraiser, rapper Kayne West accused President George W. Bush of indifference to the plight of those suffering. West said, "George W. Bush doesn't care about black people." This sentiment was repeated over and over by any and all Liberal pundits and the Main Stream Media (unfairly). The airways were flooded with allegations that the Bush Administration lack of concern was because New Orleans was a "Black" and a liberal city........Don't get me wrong for Katrina was catastrophic. The failures of local and state responders, the widely criticized federal response and subsequent finger pointing made a tragically newsworthy story even more so.......Now we have a similar situation in Tennessee. Nashville is devastated. 30 deaths and counting. Property damage in the Billions. People with no flood insurance. Where's the concern for Nashville that was evident for New Orleans? Do we hear Country Music stars saying President Obama doesn't like white people? Of course not. Nashville seems to be a story of everything that’s right with this nation. Instead of whining about a lack of government assistance, the people of Nashville seem to be saying, well, this happened to us, now let’s pick up the pieces and go help ourselves. Nashville represents everything the elitists in the mainstream media despise: God-fearing, country music-loving, conservative fly-over country folks. OK 60min what do you think is the cause of non-concern and lackm of coverage by the MSM? Well Nashville is "only" 25 percent black, and therefore "white and redneck." This part of America are non-Obama voting, self-reliant "Hee-Haw'ers" who aren't blaming somebody for their troubles and that just don't make for big news in the Main Stream Media..............Oh one final thought, the Nashville benefit concert will be carried by GACT, Great American Country Television network........If you don't get that networks programming you might see a 30 second clip of it on the Major Main Stream Networks, if you watch closely enough.........If you are unable to help at least say a prayer, if its not above your "pay grade", for those in need......God bless the people of Nashville, the State of Tennessee and all others affected by this tragedy and God Bless America.....

The Whiz Kid..... May 11, 2010 7:14 pm

......This past Sunday Dallas Braden of the Oakland A's became the 19th pitcher in major league history to pitch a perfect game. Quite an accomplishment considering the huge volume of major league games played over the years. The pure definition of a perfect game is 27 up 27 down. No batter reaches first base. Because of that I was reminded of a Hall of Fame pitcher who had passed away 3 days before. Robin Roberts was 83 yrs old. 56 years ago Roberts pitched perhaps his most memorable game against the Cincinnati Reds. He gave up a lead off home run and then retired the next 27 batters he faced. It didn't go into the record books as a perfect game, but as far as I am concerned it was....
......Having played almost all of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies whose fans are so crass they would boo their own kids at an easter egg hunt. Even when Roberts had a bad outing on the mound never a boo was heard not even a discouraging word. Such was the respect Robin Roberts commanded. As impressive as his lifetime statistic are he has one that will never be equaled. He is the only pitcher in MLB history to have wins over the Boston, Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves. .......
.......Pitching for mediocre Phillies teams most of his career he still won 286 games in his career. Author James Michener said of him "Day after day he went out there and threw that high, hard one down the middle, a marvelously coordinated man doing his job. If he had pitched for the Yankees he would have won 350 games." ......He was the embodiment of gentlemanly virtue. unquestioned integrity and bearing. Robin Roberts now takes the field to the rousing applause of angels. Rest in Peace sir you have earned your reward like few have done..........

Compromising the Constitution....... May 11, 2010 6:49 am

......Why is it that when Republicans oppose something they want to know what the Constitutional authority for it is. When Democrats oppose something they want to know what race, gender and class it offends.....Republicans believe that America was founded on Freedom and values, Democrats believe it was founded on Freedom and progress. At least they agree on freedom but what I want to know is how do values progress? At what point does right become wrong and wrong become right. A significant change in what once was legal now becomes illegal or illegal becomes legal. Our Country has reversed many wrongs and have made them right. In each instance the justification for the reversal of values a specific area of the Constitution is referenced. Will our values progress to the point where things we now consider illegal become legal? Will drugs become legal. Will prostitution become legal? will undocumented immigrants become legal?......Is this going to become our solution to the problems we face? Is this the road America is supposed to go down? Just make it legal and the illegal activity goes away. Without constitutional authority we no longer become a nation of laws we become a lawless Nation. Tell our leaders you want the laws of this Country enforced. Protect our sovereignty........Repeal it if necessary but in the meantime serve, protect and defend the Constitution do not ignore and disregard it.........
