Quoting 1750wg: My age doesn't bother me except when I think about and realize I'm gonna be 70 next year....OMG!!!! I'm gonna be OLD!!!
But most of the time I think that age is 90% attitude...if you think you're old you will be and if you don't worry about it and just 'be' you're a hell of a lot younger I think I'm somewhere between 37 and 52.
That's the best attitude to have Sandy
You will never grow old ... maybe past 45 ... but that is not old

Thanks so much for all my friends stopping by and it is always great to see you all again. I think all of you guys and gals are a great looking bunch of friends. I went to join in on the fun of the senior games at our local senior center and the lady that is over the senior games(she don't know me)told me I had to be 55 to join. I just laughed and told her I past 55 almost seven years ago and she didn't believe me(I'm getting the big head by now)so I told her I would bring out the ole birth certificate if need be. I told her I would just hug her neck for that comment...lol. She talk to the head lady over our senior center and she conviced her I was as old as I said I was..lol

I' m happy and proud of my age, and thankful that I am alive. I experienced serious illness a year ago: after a successful surgery; was hospitalized and caught a bacteria at the hospital and I was very near death. I was given another chance, that i why I really feel so happy and enjoying life.

Thanks for the comments...Hey, I think all of you guys look great no matter how old you are because age is just a number. I think back sometime when I was hit by a truck and if GOD was not protecting me I would have died January 22,2006 but apparently it was not my time to go and I am thankful.
JKH..GOD kept you here for a reason and you might not never know what that reason is.
GOD put all of us here and he will be the one to take us out of here and not until then. Live life to the fullest my friends and be happy...

I rejoice to be 73 years going on 74 next month. My dear brother passed away last week, July 16, at the age of 69. It is not the number of years, it is the health that is measurable in the later miles of life's journey IMO.

I voted "I am thankful I'm still living." But it's more like "lucky I'm still alive."
I was involved in many close calls over the years with the worst being in 79. The crew I was working with that day consist of five of us that walked in to a cross fire ambush. My boss and another member were killed and I was hit 4 times just immediately. My other two partners with both hit once a piece, but managed to escape with their lives, leaving me behind, for the very reason they thought was dead too at that moment.
There is no doubt we were checked out after my two partners split the scene by the people who shot us all, and the only thing that can be figured, is that they thought I was dead too, or they were have surely finished me off.
And that's where the "lucky to be alive" comes in.
I've carried that "Why me, why am I still alive" complex with me ever since.
But I don't dwell on it much anymore, but I surely used to.

Age is but a number. Sometimes I feel like the number 19, sometimes not.
Age didn't give much concern until my granddaughter, Bree, asked me my age. When I told her 59, she looked at me, there was a long pause and then she announced "you're gonna be 60 next year". Out of the mouths of babes! lol

The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.

It depends on my mood, sometimes I say I am 37 with lots of experience, and other times I say that I feel 89, and other times, I would just say truthfully that I am 63. At least I think I am, because some times I forget how old I am and have to stop and do the math.

30 didn't bother me... 40 didn't bother me... but turning 50 started bothering me when I turned 45... however, with each passing birthday it bothered me less and less... by the time I turned 50, it didn't bother me at all.
We'll see how 60... and 70... and 80 go... or red's 108

Hmm,well, sort of did a portion of a blog on this one but in my case, would agree with Red, don't think too much about it, can make friends at any age. When it comes to a long term relationship, age can play a factor but not always. Hope I always remain young

I never really think about age ..when anyone asks I just answer....I usually jokingly say .."I am 108 ..Don't I look great for my age"...then laugh & say no I am 60!
Some believe in destiny, some believe in fate. I believe that happiness is something we create
