Stress Relief

The other day I went downtown to run a few errands. I went into the
local coffee shop for a snack. I was only there for about 5 minutes,
and when I came out, there was this cop writing out a parking ticket. I
said 'How about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and
continued writing the ticket. His insensitivity annoyed me, so I called
him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and then wrote out another ticket for
having worn tires. So I proceeded to call him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He
finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he wrote a third ticket when I called him a moron in blue. This
went on for about 20 minutes. The more I talked back to him the more
tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't really care. I
came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets
on had one of those bumper stickers that said, 'Obama in '08.' I try to
have a little fun each d ay now that I'm retired. The doctor tells me
that it's important to my health

A Medium Pizza ain't that much .... Aug 9, 2008 4:20 pm

I called a Friend this afternoon to see if she wanted to go out somewhere to eat tonight. She said she couldn't because she had the Grands, and they had already ordered Pizza. So I called another Friend, and got voice mail. I called another, and she has strep throat. I sympathized, and decided this was a lost cause. I decided to order a med. pepperoni from Domino's, and watch a movie. After I picked it up, I stopped at a convenience store to get a couple of tickets for tonight's lotto. While I was there I got a pint of butter pecan ice cream. I have already eaten the pizza, the whole thing, and enjoyed every bite. A med pizza ain't that much folks. But I think I'll skip the ice cream.

So what did you have for dinner?????

TBud, Ackman, and Gets Aug 6, 2008 8:32 am

An update on my betta fish..

Gets still isn't eating right, and he seems sad. He only perks up when I stick my finger in his bowl and wiggle it around. I sure hope he doesn't die, he is so beautiful. Most of his body, and fins are a neon blue.

I haven't been able to take a picture that shows true colors of any on my fish.

Ackman, is still frisky as ever. He gets really excited when he sees me. And YES they do recognize who feeds them after awhile. He is royal blue, and gorgeous.

TBud, hmmm I think he finally did the deed...I came home to find him swimming along side the female. They were getting along O-K as long as she didn't get near his bubbles. I think, from what I've read, that he was protecting the eggs, as she might eat them. So I took her out. I also see him swim to the bottom, then go to the bubble nest, like he's picking up eggs that have fallen out. Other than that I don't know what signs to look for. Guess I'll know soon enough if he's gonna be a DADDY....Go TBUD!!!!!YEAH!!!!

The picture is TBUD, but like I said the colors aren't true. He has a goldfish colored body, with fins that start a pretty blue, and blend into deep red, and he has the biggest black eyes.
Absolutely gorgeous. I don't know how it will effect the fry, but the female was bright red.

What fun they are to watch...

E-Mail Me, we'll have lunch.... Aug 5, 2008 7:06 am

I over heard someone talking about 'craigslist' a couple of days ago. They had been using it to search for jobs in the area. Since I had never been on craigslist, and being the kind of person I am, I had to check it out. I've navigated it now, and it seems to be another great cyber tool. But the first thing I saw, was the PERSONALS. Men seeking women, women seeking men, women seeking women, and men seeking men. I couldn't help myself folks, I just had to look. I hate to laugh at someone who is seriously looking for a companion, but some are just to funny.
By the way, I was in the men seeking women section.
This is one ad that I thought would give some of you a chuckle;

Older guy needs some loving - 65 (Inverness)

I'm looking for someone who needs a place to stay for awhile. Come live with me, have sex with me, play with me, go places with me. Somewhere there must be someone out there who needs a place to stay for awhile....or who knows...maybe even to hide out for a few weeks.

LOL....If any of you ladies decide to take him up on his offer, e-mail me, we'll have lunch.

TBud likes eatin' Tail Aug 4, 2008 8:31 am

My Betta Fish named TBud, who did you think I was talking about?
Last week TBud was building his bubble nest, so I put this cute little orange female betta in the tank with him. He chased her, flared at her, nipped her fins, and ate pieces of her tail till I got worried and took her out. I watched him search for her. Over and over, he swam around the bowl looking everywhere she could be hiding. He stopped in front of the seashell and looked inside for her. It was heart rendering. After a while, he seemed to go into a depression. He just sat at the bottom of the bowl, and stared, he looked like he was sick. He neglected his bubble nest. I noticed it was slowly getting smaller, he didn't care. I thought seriously of putting her back in, but she was so battered, she needed to recover. This morning I noticed the Red female was full of eggs, so after cleaning his bowl,I put her in with him. He perked up right away. He started blowing more bubbles, and swimming around her, shaking his tail, but not actually chasing her. She was chasing him, which is a good sign. He did chase her when she got to close to the nest. Then she would turn on him and he would swim away. I'm not sure why it happened, but he nipped a big hunk out of her tail, and ate it. When betta fish eat, it looks like they are actually chewing. That's what he did. He ate her tail. Now she doesn't want to get near him, or the nest. He's still happily blowing bubbles like he thinks she's just gonna forget about it. Yeah, Right!!
Guess TBud will just have to stay a bachelor, if he can't stop eatin' Tail.

I am so Excited, and Amazed !!! Aug 4, 2008 8:04 am

I went to the Gazebo last night for Trivia. I must admit, I didn't get one single correct answer. But you know, it's not all about being the one to get it right. The Fun everyone has with the crazy answers being given is great to see.
I don't visit chat very often, and I've heard about the fighting that goes on sometimes. But have never witnessed it until last night.
I was amazed. Here we are all having a good time. The game is ending, when a man enters the room and starts making remarks about the questions being 'Gender Biased'. Then he implies that 'some', he named two, seemed to have been provided with answers. The poor score keeper couldn't believe what she was reading. I think she was as amazed as I.
Oh, the excitement part. I'm excited because I finally witnessed a chat fight....LOL
I was beginning to think people were making it up.
The amazement? I'm amazed that this man, felt the need to disrupt a social gathering. He wasn't there long enough to form the opinions he was criticizing, unless he was using another handle. It seemed to me that he just wanted to 'Start something'.

So Childish....

A Joke.... Aug 3, 2008 5:52 pm

A little boy wanted $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened.

Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00.

WHEN

The postal authorities received the letter to God , USA , they decided to send it to the President.

The president was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.

The president thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.

The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank-you note to God, which read:

Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through

Washington, DC., and those a**holes deducted $95.00 in taxes.

C&P Best menopause question ever... Aug 3, 2008 5:50 pm

Best Menopause Question Ever
Q:
How many women with MENOPAUSE does it take to change a light
bulb?

Woman's Answer:
One!
ONLY ONE!!!! And do you know WHY? because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb! They
don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT!! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out.
And,once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the #&%!* light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CABINET for the past 17 YEARS! But if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find them, 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER
THE FREAKING LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!!! BECAUSE NO ONE EVER PICKS UP OR CARRIES
OUT THE GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT
ARE A FOOT DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!!
IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS PLACE! AND
DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WHO CHANGES
THE TOILET PAPER ROLL !!

I'm sorry.
What was the question?

Another blog on relocating Jul 29, 2008 1:37 pm

The only problem I would have in deciding to relocate, would be that I need to keep my security. At one time I relocated, to live with a man, and he died. I was basically left homeless. I started moving my things back to my Hometown, and putting them into storage. Before I completed that, I found this house, and bought it. I am Happy here, and would not like to do that again. Of course the way I see it, this would make a nice winter residence. There are a lot of people who do that. They spend the summer in the North, and Winter in the South. My Children are here, except for one Daughter who lives in Tupelo MS,(close to msturtlebug). I Love my children, but they have their own lives, families, and friends. We all get very involved in day to day life, and can't find the time to drive across town, much less hundreds of miles to visit.
At this point I'm not looking for anyone, but would definitely consider relocating. To me a thousand miles or a hundred miles makes no difference. I would have to make major plans, and adjustments to visit anyone. Still I would not want to be with a man who would not welcome our Families into our Home. Or someone who didn't want to visit them occasionally.

One other thing. To stop holding on to my children, and let them lead their own lives, was the hardest thing I ever did. Once I got over that, I found I could let go of anything, and never look back.
