Attention: Wal-Mart Shoppers

Ok, I know it was originally attention K-Mart shoppers but I wasn�t in K-Mart and I needed a title for this little blog.
Wal-Mart ran an ad on TV yesterday evening that Coke was on sale. A 24 can carton for only $5.00. Since coke and other such drinks are always on the short list around here; Rosie and I decided, since we were going out anyway, we would save ourselves a few trips to the store later just for cokes. So off we went this morning to Wal-Mart. (We took a detour so Harold, the Ass. Mgr. at HEB wouldn�t see us. Don�t get the connection? Well you have had to been here for awhile and have a good memory.)
Anyway, the special on the sodas was almost right in the front door as we entered and this wasn�t even the entrance to the grocery side of the store. So we grabbed a case of Cokes and a case of Sprite. We figured as long as we were there we might as well finish off the short list.
Now for those of you that read Rosie�s blog, �GUESS WHO... THE MOST TWISTED ANTI-SOCIAL BUNCH OF PSYCHOPATHICS� will recall the flap about country (white) gravy, well we found the pepper we had needed to do the gravy right and then rolled on over to look for some ground sausage.
While checking out the various brands of sausage and prices, I noticed something I thought was a little �.strange maybe??? Jimmy Dean had a 16 oz. roll of pork sausage for $2.78. Right next to it he had a 14 oz. roll of pork sausage also for $2.78.
Now a prudent man or a cheapskate like me would immediately go for the 16 oz package. I mean, who wouldn�t get 2 more ounces for the same price as the small package right? Hmmmmmm.
After thinkin� on it for a few� I said to myself��Self,..I sezs, something smells fishy here.� (I know we are not in the fish section but sausagey just don�t sound right)
After closer scrutiny I spotted a difference on the wrapping. The 14 oz size has 50% less fat!! Now I gotta wonder if that means that two ounces of sausage is equal to 50% fat and if so can I apply that to all sizes? Will an 8 oz package should have zero fat. And will two less ounces of ham contain 50% less fat???
The math gets kinda fuzzy for me about here. I guess I shoulda paid more attention to Mr. Stirman in math class and less attention to Wanda�s short skirts and low cut blouses.

RESPONSE TO ROSIE�S BLOG (We Need Your Help)

In response to my esteemed colleague�s blog titled �We Need Your Help� I submit the following:
The suspect in question, one canine named �Peaches�, aka Dirty Dog, Mutt, and Pest; residing at this residence is guilty of the stated offense �Digging Up Dirt without a License.�
My Adversary, Rosie, failed to present all the evidence nor did she correctly state some of the facts. The people intend to prove that the defendant is guilty as charged.
1.The defendant has a past history of similar mischief. The Mug Shot below is submitted as proof of her past dirty deeds.
2. The defense would have you believe that the dirt had been in those pots (People�s Exhibit B ) in question even before the arrival of the suspect taking up residence. That is not true; my colleague had never checked the pots before the dastardly deed of the defendant.
There was no dirt, in the pots in question prior to three days ago when my friend and all around handyman, Mr. Dumb and his side kick, Mr. Dumber cut the grass at the defendant�s residence. After cutting the grass, they emptied a 20lb bag of top soil into the two pots pictured below. There was no dirt noted around the outside of those pots until the day after that, when a mound of dirt similar to what you see in People�s Exhibit B. The defendant was given a stern warning and allowed to proceed.
A day after the first incident, Mr. Dumb returned to the residence and placed what soil he could scrape up in the pots and swept the rest of it into the grass; unwittingly destroying some of the footprints. The very next day there was again a second pile of messy dirt around the pots as you can see in the photograph.
At this point the defendant was taken back to the scene of the crime showed the messy results of her actions at which time it was obvious by her reactions she knew she was trapped like a rat in a sinking ship. She was placed under house arrest and only allowed out under strict supervision.
As previously mentioned in that �other� blog, there have been no sightings of squirrels, chimpmucks or other such animals in the immediate area. Also the area, as previously mentioned is surrounded by a six foot high fence.
In summation, it is clear that the defendant was purposely looking for some mischief to get into since the avocado seeds were still in the pots. Another point not mentioned by the defense. The lacks of paw prints in the fresh dirt are not clearly discernable by the untrained eye in the photographs but they are there. Do not be fooled by the gentle appearance of this defendant. Behind those soft brown eyes is the mind of a clever and mischievous little devil; capable of making you believe she is as innocent as a lamb while all the time plotting her next despicable caper. You must weigh the facts carefully. The defense counsel is very adept at painting a rosie picture of innocence. If the facts are right you must indict.

I'm Back.

Well...kinda,sorta...maybe. As some of you may or may not have noticed, I really haven't been writing, reading or commenting on blogs for the past several months. There were several reasons for that not limited to, but including a couple of stays in the hospital in November and December.
There are a couple of other reasons but I don't think I need to explain them to anyone.
A Couple of Other Reasons
Besides that, I have genuinely not had the desire or interest in blogging as I did in the past. I have tried to figure out why that is, but haven't come up with anything conclusive. I have logged in and read a few blogs and commented on a few but there weren't that many that I found to comment on. There were others that I really had an immediate urge to comment on but after taking a few deep breaths and counting to ten, I changed my mind and just let it go. It just really wasn't worth the effort. It seems the same old rhetoric and war of words continues on. For the life of me I can't grasp the reasoning or purpose of some of these blogs. I wonder if the author's really think they are going to change anyone's mind?
I think after three or four years everyone knows who the Republicans are, who the Democrats are, and who the warring factions are. You can classify some of these blogs anyway you want; Informative, educational, thought provoking, or whatever. I find after years of reading them, the majority are like watching re-runs of M.A.S.H. How many times and ways can someone say Obama doesn't wear a flag pin on his coat and uses a teleprompter; or George Bush can't pronounce nuclear and didn't use a teleprompter.
These days even if someone wants to express his/her simple opinion, someone will expect you to support your opinion with facts, figures and sources of information. But then when you do that it becomes someone else's opinion and not your own. Some avoid that initially by just posting a C&P to begin with, letting someone else speak for them.
Ok, I could go on, but I've already said more than I probably should have, I think most will get my point. And I still haven't figured out completely why I'm not much of a blogger any more. I suppose it will come to me one of these days. Or maybe I'll just get involved again. We'll see I reckon.
