This past week I have taken my blood pressure readings several times that show relatively normal readings, but the pulse rates were sometimes higher than normal.
I awoke an hour ago, in the middle of the night, and decided to check my blood pressure. It was 130/80. However, the pulse rate showed 103 which is the highest I have seen it.
There was a slight pain in my left arm between the shoulder and elbow. I had been lying on my left side with my body on top of the arm so figured that was why there was the discomfort. It is not hurting now.
Am I worrying too much? My 89 year old sister had a heart attack a month ago, but seems fine now. Our father had died of a second heart attack at age 66 after surviving a massive one in his mid 50ies.
The only medication I take is for glaucoma, and I feel healthy. I sometimes take a baby aspirin (I used to take one daily after my heart went crazy a few years ago, but the arteries were clear).
