iIlegal immigration a serious issue in the final hour?

Gimme a break, folks. Illegal immigration has barely been mentioned throughout this campaign until the Repugs could focus on one black woman from Kenya to cast yet another stone at Obama.
There are millions of illegal immigrants here in the U.S. living off the public dole, participating in our SS System, and providing enough cheap labor to have a profound effect on our job market.
One elderly, black woman from Kenya who has asked for asylum is an issue??
In the final hour, the Repugs are really scraping, IMHO. It's ludicrous!

Head start of the day!!

Holy buckets!!
It's 6:34 a.m., and I have already cleaned carrots, red tators, cabbage wedges and partially steamed them for my oven roast. I have placed them all in the roaster pan with the roast I cooked very slowly last evening and warmed again this morning before adding the veggies. I cheated with a jar of Heinz beef gravy poured over the top of the whole shebang. It's smelling pretty yummy!!
In the interim, I went to on-line banking and balanced my checkbook, in addition to taking care of a mortgage transfer. I also wrote checks for three standard bills. I have them stamped and all ready to go!
*taking a breath* ....
I logged into the site and read blogs, but not before I'd folded the load of towels left in the dryer over night.
Oh, and I polished my nails before reading blogs!!
Man!! Am I moving this morning, or what?? (I think I'll be napping at my desk today. Fact is, I'm feeling tired already!! I don't know what got into me ..........)

Soliciting advise - Varicose Veins

Please advise! Have you had varicose veins treated/removed? If so, by what method? Surgically? By Lazer? Other? If you've had treatment, how successful was it? Would you mind sharing costs?
I have ONE vein on the inner side of my left leg that drives me nuts. I'm considering having it taken care of because it's unsightly and that bothers me enough to keep me from wearing shorts! It's one of the "gifts" my mother left me.

I wish I could be there, but, alas .... you can envision me running my 68-year-old tailend off at work as you frolic in the sun. Somebody's got to do it! I guess it's up to me and Joe the Plumber while all you people making over $250,000 are gathered there on that sandy beach ............ ahhhhhhhhhh ............ never mind. I won't ruin anyone's day by addressing that "p" word.

This afternoon, my "closest thing to a boyfriend" and I are going to do something HE has not done in approximately 16 years and I have not done in approximately 9.
We are going to a movie matinee!! We are going to buy popcorn! And Coke (and neither of us drink pop!). And he is going to put his arm on the back of my seat, and I will more than likely put my hand on his thigh. Tee hee.
NOW, doesn't that sound like a great Sunday afternoon?? As excited as I am, I feel like a kid again.

If you are a member of my "clique," stand tall and beside me.
This accusation needs be stopped dead in it's tracks. It's a fallacy. I live far, far from the madding crowd. For anyone with any doubt, I contend I am my own person. Ask anyone who truly knows me. I say what I mean, and most often, mean what I say - though there are times I have had to eat my words. I confess I may, at times, say things people don't like or agree with. I have no problem with respectful disagreement. A world of people that all thought alike would absolutely bore me to tears. When I have inadvertently offended someone I respect, I will go the mile to make amends, and I will accept a sincere apology when it comes around the other way, and I have my own innate sense of sincerity.
Furthermore, I do not LIKE everyone I meet, and I have never been one with a burning need to be popular or endorsed as a human being by the "many". In my lifetime of 68 years, I can proudly say there are no more than a half dozen people that are TRUE and nearly life-long friends, tried and tested through good times and bad. Acquaintances are a-plenty. A friend stands high and above the crowd.
Enough already. Life is good!!
