I have noticed more and more people putting photos of other people on the blogs On a site well known for scammers and predators is this wise ESpecially Children
I know we all love to share photos of our Grandchildren but this is not the place to do it it is a welcome sign for pedophiles !0 years ago there was man on this site that used to lift photos and undress them put different heads on naked bodies etc etc etc
Just imagine what they can do today with the fancy programs available we see some pretty clever things in the blogs all the times
There is a new dating site that quotes The artists explained that a million pictures were analysed using facial recognition software that filtered images by expressions. It appears those in relationships are also listed.

I heard once that the most sold books in the depression was SELF HELP books so what has changed Amazons biggest sellers last year was Self Help books walk into any newsagent and the magazines are almost enough to scare you if not at least to confuse you Today there is advice for everything and it seems anyone can be an expert the books tell us so I think there are even internet sites that call themselves such
Throw out the recipe books just google it ....dont we all just use our favorites anyway mostly out of our head and the cooking shows does anyone actually ever cook what they do And of course the diets Just how many diets can there be this was my result when I googled it 26,000,000 so how come there are so many fat people when they tell us how easy it is to get rid of our big belly big bum or whatever .
google dating sites and you will get millions so how come there are so many single people I wonder how many belong to more than one site what really surprises me is the young ones on dating sites what ever happened to going outside attending functions sporting events even a market even in the young the unmarried proportion is very high maybe expectations are too high As for divorce there are many books to tell you how to survive they make it all sound so easy I never yet anyone that thought it was easy
I came up with this idea because I am a book hunter I scrounge church sales garage sales 2nd hand stores and wherever I can looking for books I came across probably the most famous of all MEN ARE FROM MARS .....where do women come from LOL it was $1 so I thought maybe it was time I looked at this wonder book I never finished it I was not too far into it before I formed the opinion who does this guy think hes talking to a lot of kids he treats people as a mob People are not they are individuals everyone is Unique Of course there are similar behavioral traits in people But that does not make them a mob I couldn't see myself as one of those women from wherever I think I probably have more faults than most neither did i want to be like the women he presented When you find the perfect one never fear there are books to advice on how to have the perfect S** although I dont think this is necessary just go to the movies
Self help books have their place I have used them myself to learn as I was educating myself BUT i do think there is information overload and I wonder wether people are learning to be what the book says instead of being able to think for self as an individual and just being themselves we all have personalities and i like to think we are all Unique
Now I wonder if there is a book to tell me how to put multiple photos on a blog when I dont have that fancy program and have a Apple Mac

I seem to have done little else but watch the 2 massive storms over the last 24 hours The blizzards in the US and the Cyclone in Australia I am not sure which is the worst nor am I sure which they will blame global warming for but I bet someone does The miracle of the cyclone is to date no lives lost although there were 3 babies born one in an evacuation centre I put this down to Good emergency services and communication but most of all people Listening to that advice of course over they years they have learnt a lot about building for these massive storms It is not Often I find reason to praise a government But I have the highest praise for the premier of QLD just as she handled the first crisis with dignity and humanity so she is doing the same with this latest crisis
As for the Blizzards in the US to me who has rarely seen snow It is frightening How the Hell do you people drive on those roads Snow drifts topped three metres in some areas with snowfalls topping 25 to 41 centimeters in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kansas, Massachusetts, and New York. Fargo, North Dakota was an icy -27 degrees Celsius at 1600 GMT (3am AEDT), with wind that could cause frostbite on exposed skin in less than five minutes. Having no power in a tropical cyclone is very different to no power in Freezings conditions
One thing I learnt I am too old to stay up all night watching these things today i am like a washed out dishrag LOL
I have not heard from my cousin yet but I am no longer concerned as i know they have no power and no ives lost so he is safe Of course a lot of damage will be exposed as people return to access but are the paramount
I hope everyone that suffered the blizzards are also safe and able to stay warm
Many thanks to everyone for their concerns and well wishes

UPDATE ON THE CYCLONE

If you want to see the magnitude of this cyclone take a look it is almost as big as the United states
I had a email from my cousin this afternoon here is part of it I hope he still has his sense of humour this time tomorrow
Just a quick note to say we are ok at the moment, but the cyclone isn't due to hit here until 10pm-ish tonight. Don't be surprised if there is no news for a we while because the authorities expect quite wide spread power outages. I came up from Cairns at about 1230 this arvi and there is next to no traffic on the road as news reports keep saying to get home and stay home. As the power goes out so does most of our communication. The storm is supposed to last about 24 hrs or so. I would expect that we might get some communications back about then. We have pretty much done all we can to batten down the hatches, as I had to go to work this morning to connect up some emergency generators to 3 supermarkets in Cairns, luckily I had organised for Ann to do all the heavy battening down while I was away. I am at present sending you this note trying to get out of doing the dishes. I have a couple more little chores to do then we just sit and wait. Oh yes Joe Cocker was pretty good last night, definately didn't need any hearing aids to hear anything. The back up act was George Thoroughgood who was even better. Will send more information as and when we can. Thanks for all your kind wishes and concern.

This has just been upgraded to a cat 5.......Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi was upgraded to category five off north Queensland this morning as the weather bureau warned it was likely to be "more life-threatening" than any storm seen in Australia in living memory.
The weather bureau says Cyclone Yasi is a large and very powerful tropical cyclone and poses an "extremely serious threat" to life and property within the warning area, especially between Port Douglas and Townsville.
"This impact is likely to be more life-threatening than any experienced during recent generations," the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said this morning.
Tens of thousands of people are fleeing their homes ahead of the monster storm, which is expected to hit the coast between Cairns and Innisfail at about 10pm AEST tonight with winds of up to 295 kilometres per hour near the core.

As I promised here is the report on The terra cotta warriors My first surprise was the colours to me terra cotta is Orange these were all colours grey green shades of purple etc I did realise after originally they had been painted although most of the paint had worn off My second surprise the warriors themselves are life size my friends who I went with had seen them in the pits in China and they were also surprised at the size as they said you view them from high up this exhibition you see them at eye level The detail is amazing considering they have buried for so long you can see where they have been repaired and very expertly done I wondered why they were ever made in the first place but I learnt The first emperor began the planning and construction of his vast burial city soon after coming to the throne While the mausoleum it self was described in ancient texts the existence was unknown until when it was discover by accident about 30 years ago I will not go into history because it can all be read on the internet for those inclined to do so
There are 10 main figures in the exhibition including 2 horses again life size and the composition just amazing My favourite although not life size was the chariot with 4 horses

ABOUT THAT KFC BLOG

There are people on this site that think I am not entitled to an opinion But I have opinions on lots of things
I never thought that blog was racist I DID think it was in poor taste and I never saw any humour in it…That is only my opinion
However because it was the President who happens to be Half white half black many thought it was racist I saw lots of similar jokes (for want of a better word) about Bush in fact I got so sick of the Bush Jokes it seemed like I got one every day I have almost none about Obama
Definition of Racist
1 a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2.
a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3.
hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
I have read many blogs on this site for and against the present government I doubt I have seen any of the above definitions
Just because you don’t agree does not mean you are racist
It is like saying I am racist because I don’t approve of our prime minister because she has red hair
I believe that most anti Obama blogs and comments are because of what has happened in your country and whether you like it or not Obama has changed your country
I listened to Obamas speech it was broadcast live here
My first thoughts were I have heard it all before NO not from your President But from the Prime minister of Australia in her Election speech More jobs more infrastructure HIGH Technology Climate change Renewable energy
If you believe what he said your troubles are over Everyone has more money in the pay packets and Unemployment is on the way downThe stock market is flourishing (which it is) I have to wonder why Australia’s stock market is in the doldrums and was way behind last year and we were not affected in the Global recession
There was just one thing I would like to comment on when he said about the Chile Mine disaster It was a joint effort By many countries at a cost of $50 million
I have no doubt that man invented that drill and deserves much praise and I hope he gets every encouragement to continue Anyone who has been to Dearborn will know as I know what great industrialists America has had in the past and should have in the future
But The first drill to go down was actually Australian the 2nd was American (the one The president spoke of) the third was Canadian
Like I said I have opinions on lots of things BUT be warned it is like my advice it is worth what I charge NOTHING
