This is always a hard one for me! Either I say way too much, or make it too brief. I am originally from London Ontario, and ventured west 30 years ago for a holiday and to escape the pain that my first break up was having on me. I never went back to Ontario except to visit my family. I have a masters degree from Toronto in psychology and philosophy but ended up starting my own business hand crafting antique reproductions for a variety of customers. I loved my work and would work long hours in my shop designing and building. 18 hours a day, seven days a week eventually caused my left leg to develop severe problems from all that time standing on a cement floor. Right now Im taking a break and deciding which direction to go as far as a career goes.
I love people and interacting with people helping them solve their life problems. My university background involved extensive training in the counseling profession, but it has been years since I have been active in this area. I was divorced 11 years ago and I have a daughter who is now living on her own. I havent really dated for almost 11 years and now that the emotional baggage is pretty much behind me, the urge to couple is returning, but with out leaving me as a poor needy person that needs taken care of. I feel good about myself and want to make the best of things as I learn from my life experience. I am not a rowdy or aggressive type of person but more laid back and conciliatory. I have a good sense of humor and take great delight in being able to make people laugh. If you are looking for an introspective challenge, doing lots of different things and learning together, in a positive way to take on some of the great challenges in life....some you thought that you would never do, I believe that I would be a great partner for you. My Ideal Person:
The ideal person will probably never be fully attained., but these are some ideals that I strive for. A woman who is quiet spoken with an understanding voice would probably procure the best response from me. I have always been very comfortable around kind hearted, soft spoken ladies. People who tend to speak in a rather dominant or threatening voice tend to make me defensive rather quickly. Ladies who wish to be treated like ladies has always been a plus for me.....not that its a male dominant world, but I do believe in the old fashion way of opening doors or allowing the lady go first (especially if its sky diving!) I believe that men and women are equal in most ways (especially that of equal power) but are also different enough that when put together we complete each other in a gratifying way. In general I would like to meet a lady who feels that way about most things and I in turn would also make her feel very special and wanted deep inside. To summerize I would desire a relation that we bring the best out in each other and this should be done in the freedom of desire on both parts. Other activities would include; walks in the park, camping, going out for a special dinner, going on motor trips together and so many other things that cost next to nothing but bring rich enjoyment.
