Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm trying some of the other sites too, okcupid, pof and match. Everyone says they want honesty, so here it comes. Other than being taller than most, I think I'm a pretty average middle aged woman. Many people tell me I don't look my age and one of my kids recently told me I play my music too loud and drive too fast (guess that means I don't act my age either...hehehe). I was widowed after 25 years so I know the outside changes over time and if you're lucky the inside gets better. I have grown children, (the youngest is in college and still lives at home) and also a growing assortment of grandchildren. I work for a living, I come home tired and don't cook gourmet meals on a daily basis. When I have the time I do enjoy cooking and used to make my living that way. However, if you like to cook, I'll keep you company in the kitchen and I'm up for doing the dishes...lol. When I'm not working, I'm usually in jeans and without makeup. I do like to dress up and go out once in a while and I'm told I clean up pretty nice...lol. I enjoy all the usual things. I like to dance, go for walks, go to the beach, attend movies, the theater, concerts, fairs and festivals. I also enjoy traveling when I have the chance, Scotland is my dream trip. I like a good steak, seafood or something new or ethnic when I dine out. I read anything from nonfiction to whodunits to paranormal romances and everything in between. I spend more time reading than watching TV. I like many kinds of music but my favorite is rock, from the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix to Staind and Theory of a Dead Man. I'm not very sports minded, I've never been much of a watcher (the Red Sox will break your heart) and a bum shoulder keeps me from participating in some activities. (I have wondered if I could learn how to do some of the activities I miss left-handed but I'd probably hurt someone...lol.) But, I don't think a couple needs to do everything together. I'd worry a little if you wanted to go shopping and out to lunch with my women friends and I. And, I won't object if you have things you like to do with your friends too.
My Ideal Person:
I'm just looking for a decent man, one who is intelligent, has a sense of humor, works for a living and is looking for a decent woman. I feel friendship comes first, if there's chemistry, we can see where it goes from there. If you are not a paid member here and want to talk to me, you might try on one of the other sites.(PS: I'm an ex-smoker and want to remain that way, so if you smoke cigarettes, I'm not interested.)
