NOT INTERESTED IN MARRIED MEN NO MARRIED MEN......I consider myself to be a moderately active person,who enjoys reading, taking long walks and traveling by train when the opportunity presents itself.
On the few occasions that I go out on a date , I enjoy dining at a variety of restaurants, I am flexible in my taste for food., only requirement is that the food is healthy and tasty. I also like dancing and stimulating ,intelligent conversation.The Art Institute is very high on my list of things to do.
In my leisure time, I like working crossword puzzles, watching public television,TCM, and listening to NPR (talk shows) or world music, jazz(not smooth jazz) and opera.
I would like to add: I have been retired for two years after thirty-four years of teaching. I am a very happy,outgoing person. I feel that life is to be lived on a daily basis.Even though life is good, I would like to share my life with someone of like mind and interests.
I am a silver member and I must say that this is the most unusual site, in that the same people will view on a daily basis and never say hello. I find that quite strange.Is there a reason for this?  Plus the married men are epidemic on this site.Who needs more problems?
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a friend first and foremost. One who knows what he wants from life and a relationship and doesn't mind sharing that information. Someone who is willing to try new things,(opera,foreign film) even if it is something that he never wants to do again. I like spontaneity in a friend, a great sense of humor, must like people, and is not biased without giving the other person a chance. Someone who knows how to treat a friend.He must be kind and wants a serious relationship. When one is in the sixth decade of life, time is of the essence.
