Cruising sailor, currently without a vessel. I can tell you that I LOVE the sea and the cruising lifestyle! I am a water baby. Started at age 2, been wet ever since. I retired in '06, cruised on my 35' sailboat for 2 years. Due to my Dad's health and a desire for a new boat, I went back to work. I am 58 in body, but 28 in soul. With the right partner, I'm ready to take on a circumnavigation, or cruise local waters. I enjoy dry land, the Arts, music, dancing, cooking (yep, I'm not looking for a galley slave), the mountains and family. I just need to be connected to the sea. Hopefully, with a mate that is honest, easy going and understands that you can't change the wind, but you can adjust your sails...
My Ideal Person:
Not looking for my other half, I'm whole on my own. But I am looking for a partner, friend and lover that is comfortable with herself, is a whole person, and thinks that the moments that take your breath away are the ones that matter most. That the beauty of nature and the sea, the quite moments huddled under the sheets in each others arms, an unexpected smile (smiles are my favorite), or dancing on the beach in the moonlight are some of those moments. Someone who sees the humor in life (I'd rather laugh about it than cry) and believes that they are here to make a difference. I can throw out romantic, adventurous, and can tie a bowline knot as well, but heck, everyone matches those things, right?
