Moved to Flagstaff after 40 years in Minnesota almost two years ago to be with family ~ my brother, his kids, and their kids. I don't have grandkids, but I have grand nieces, four of them in the last 2.5 years! My daughter, 38, and her husband live in Las Vegas. She works for Cirque du'Soleil.
I spent my working years as a family therapist for an alternative high school (hoods in the woods) in Minnesota, where we took kids on wilderness trips a couple weeks in length, hiking, biking, canoeing. Did that for 20 years, then went back to school for massage, and owned a granola-type health spa for 10 years.
I'm a part-time massage therapist at Wyndom Resorts at the country club in Flagstaff. I also drive bus for a couple river rafting companies to put-ins, take-outs, and the South Rim on the Colorado River during the season.
I love hiking in Flagstaff and Sedona with friends/family, riding my bicycle, cooking with friends/family. I love dogs, eating out, the four seasons in Flagstaff, and the winter warmth for hiking in Sedona. I listen to NPR, and my politics are liberal. I've been meditating every day for 35 years, and don't go to church. I find my spirituality in the outdoors and nature. I love movies, and don't have a TV anymore.
I am outgoing, funny, affectionate, kind, have a good sense of humor, and generally see the good in people and situations. Let's be friends and see where that goes. I love living by myself, and probably won't live with anyone again, but who knows!?
