To paraphrase what was once said, "getting older is not for the faint of heart." I am learning the truth to that saying each day. However, true age is in your head more than your body. Inside I'm still 25. What else would you like to know? Okay, I'm strong, compassionate, funny with a great sense of humor that gets me through life's insanity.
I have a wonderful family and circle of friends. My children and 5 grandchildren mean the world to me. However, they don't need me around looking to be entertained. It's time for Granny to get her own life.
I enjoy dancing, walks, day trips, dinner out, movies, concerts and just good conversation with the right person. I am a good cook but don't like cooking just for myself. It's more fun if you're going to enjoy a meal with someone.
My music tastes are varied. I like everything from today's country, to classical (which I know little about but enjoy listening to and would love to learn more), to Broadway. Yes, I love live musical theater also.
As I've told my friends (and I have lots of them), I don't mind being alone; I mind being lonely. Being widowed has left me able to be independent in many ways I enjoy, however it also has left an empty place. I would love to meet a special guy who would want to be a best friend first and foremost, and who knows, maybe that empty place would no longer exist. If you'd like to apply for the job, please get in touch.
My Ideal Person:
Looking for that "nice guy" who wants to be my best friend. Who is willing to build a lasting relationship on a foundation of friendship and trust. Someone who is able to communicate his feelings without turning it into an argument.
Favorite television shows:
House, Big Bang Theory, Cake Boss
Favorite musicians or bands:
???
