I find it very daunting to write about myself. I don't know where to begin. I have so many thoughts and emotions colliding with hope and anticipation that my feelings can become confused but I will do my best with this.
I was born in Rhode Island to a French Canadian father and German (2nd generation) mother. When I was 6 months old, my parents and grandparents moved to southern California. Over the next 12 years, another 9 children came along and we were 10 (5 of each).
My earliest memories were of music and song. My father was a dancer and my mother was a singer. We never missed Arthur Godfrey or The Ed Sullivan Show, saw every musical that came to the small screen. The music of Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Gershwin, the Dorseys played constantly.
I have lived a diverse life, so far, and expect the future to be the same but more fun. I have traveled to every state (on business) and lived in 6 different states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada & Texas).
I was drawn to the performing arts through the influence of my parents. Though my father passed over 30 years ago, my mother still performs. At 84, she travels with her band of 6 musicians and harmony singers and are booked well into 2011. She gets paid for her performances but would do it for free because she loves it. It keeps her alive and happy.
I have been a member of SAG for 27 years and appeared on stage, TV and film productions. My passion though is the stage. Performing forced me to overcome my shyness and connect with other actors and audiences.
I consider myself to be a thoughtful, gentle, kind and intimate man. I love romantic conversations and experiences. I love to laugh and make others do the same. I also like adventure, doing things that others might not try.
I will save the story of my voyage from San Diego to Honolulu in June of 1982 on a 35' Cal with 5 aboard (the owner, his wife, his ex-wife and his girlfriend and me, the navigator) until we meet and I hope we do.
