My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who has achieved something in life and understands the costs and benefits of that struggle. I am looking for someone who thinks about things--values, politics, people and acts out his conclusions, someone who is one piece, call it integrity. Honesty is very important to me, I do not know what to do with lies. Gentleness, humor, caring and general competence or strength. I have many semi-skills and don't need a lot of taking care of, but I do enjoy it and I also enjoy doing things for those I love. I've been told that I am a very generous lover and some people think I am pretty, some think I am preppy. I know I am not ready for the rocking chair on a fulltime basis. I also am looking for someone who is financially secure on his own, as I am. Someone who can be excited by the view from a mountain or a piece of music or a child's photo or drawing. Finally, at our age we all have broken places in our pasts, I want someone who can acknowledge his, share the pain and be compassionate with others' rather than judgemental.
