I like my life--love my children and grandchildren, love my home and job--but, it would be nice to have someone with whom to share things. I have three children (only one of whom is still at home) and two grandchildren.
Most of my friends say that I have a strong personality. They also say I'm always truthful--what you see is what you get and that I don't play "head games." My detractors say I'm opinionated and stubborn. I think both my friends and my detractors are correct.
I love dancing--it used to be a twice weekly thing. I enjoy interesting conversation. I play volleyball as often as possible. I'd like to meet someone who is athletic, but not a fanatic about it. I like to walk, but hate jogging. I enjoy weightlifting, but haven't done it in years. I'd join a health club for swimming, etc, but know I'd never make it to the club regularly because I have a pretty full life.
I prefer tall guys...I'm not big, but am a strong person and have sometimes been made to feel an Amazon. I'd like to feel protected.
I started to say my favorite date was the Mother's Day date to play tennis, a little basketball, and then swimming...but then I remembered the Civil War re-enactments--those were fun, too. Dancing is ALWAYS a great date. I guess I don't really have a favorite date, though my ideal first date would be something active--batting cages, bowling, volleyball. Don't misunderstand, I love the symphony, plays, and movies--but not on a first date. On a first date, you need to be able to talk and get to know each other.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a man who can carry on a philosophical conversation, is active in his church and has strong religious beliefs, is athletic, likes to dance, and has traditional beliefs when it comes to the roles of men and women in marriage.
Looks are somewhat important, but it's grooming more than features. How you leave the house says a lot about how you respect yourself and your family.
