Those who know me best would describe me as quiet, always friendly but not a follower of the crowd. I am very passsionate about a number of things...good books, art, my spirituality, animal rights, and environmental issues. I love learning new things, and like it when I meet a new person who has interests I haven't yet explored. Not a party person, I prefer to do things in small groups or with an individual friend. Love going to the theater, museums, and concerts. Very self-sufficient person who does not need to be entertained...looking for someone who wants to be connected at the heart, not the hip.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who will let me be ME, with all my quirks (okay, I have a few) and who has an interest in creating long-term bonds, whether they turn into a romantic interest or not. I place a very high value on friendship, and think that needs to be the foundation of any potential romantic involvement. The traits I value in others are trust, honesty, loyalty, a sense of humor, and an interest in learning. An interest in art, music, or nature would be a plus, but not necessarily required...but I like someone who is passionate about something in the world other than themselves. My ideal mate would also be my best friend...that rare individual that I could openly be my true self with, no games, no gimmicks. Those with self-serving private agendas need not apply!
